Is it difficult to be the Finance Manager of the investment fund? How to set yourself up for day-to-day responsibility, why Ukrainian start-ups are literally destined for success and what music does our chief financier listen to? We asked Anna-Maria Vynnytska about all this and much more.
What is your educational background?
I am a financier, but I studied finance to work in government.
Has it always been your dream to have a job like that?
That's not quite true. When I was a child, I had a dream of being a doctor. At the same time, I always enjoyed mathematics and logic. I was advised by my parents to major in finance and I eventually agreed.
How long have you been with the Fund?
I have been with the Fund since the beginning. I joined NetSolid Investments from its predecessor company.
Why do you believe in Ukrainian start-ups?
Because I know from my own experience that in Ukraine there are many talented people who want to improve their quality of life and their financial status, and have both incentives and exciting ideas to do so.
What are the responsibilities of the Finance Manager of the investment fund?
I manage the company's financial flows, prepare financial statements, calculate and pay out rewards, set up financial processes and do some other tasks.
What do you enjoy the most in your job? What is your source of inspiration?
I love the Fund for its great loyalty, trusting relationships, transparency of all processes, and the opportunity to develop and improve my skills. I am inspired by the sheer number of challenges as well as the opportunity to make decisions on my own and see how that affects our common cause.
Do you have your own secret on how to focus on work processes?
I have three rules that I stick to. Firstly, I treat potential work with a hunger for it. Second, I turn off Telegram. Third, I leave my phone in the other room.
Do you have a personal recipe for how to enjoy life?
This recipe includes several ingredients: music, travel, good wine and girlfriends.
What is your favourite music?
I like the band Zhadan and The Dogs, especially their early work before they became very popular.
Do you have a favourite movie?
Yes, and even a few. However, there's no such thing as too many Harry Potter movies.
Do you associate yourself with any of the characters from the series? Which one?
I think I'm a bit like Ron, for I'm just as messy but lucky
Continuing with the magic talk, I want to ask you, what superpowers would you like to have?
I wish to be able to teleport.
What's your life credo?
I think karma is real, so you have to treat others the way you want to be treated yourself.
